Bio

Sasha Gold (b. 1987) is a visual artist, based in Hamburg. Her work emphasizes themes of transformation, reflection, and the interplay between the visible and the invisible. Deeply personal yet universally resonant, Gold's productions invite viewers into a dialogue with the unseen, challenging perceptions, and encouraging a deeper engagement with the world around us. Her art is not just seen but experienced, offering a mirror to the complexities of the human condition and the multifaceted narratives that define our existence.

Together with the artist Lichtloch, she co-founded and curates the annual light art exhibition in a public park in Hamburg, known as "Planten un Lumen". Sasha Gold was selected by the NES Artist Residency in Skagaströnd, Iceland, to create a site-specific installation as part of "Light Up 2024". Her work has already been showcased at exhibitions such as MS Artville (Hamburg), the "Live Art Festival" at Kampnagel (Hamburg), "Parklicht" (Meppen), and the Street & Art Festival (Celle). She has also participated in urban art exhibitions like "Femmes Vandales" at B-MURALS centre d'art urba (Barcelona) and the Millerntor Gallery (Hamburg).

Her artistic endeavors have garnered recognition across various media outlets, including Arte TV, Hamburg Journal, Abendblatt Hamburg, Byte.FM, and the Cellesche Zeitung.

Under her real name, she initially studied law and worked as a criminal defense lawyer for several years.
